Nancy Newkirk Reeves

Nancy Newkirk Reeves, 86, of Wurtland, KY went to be with the Lord on Sunday, November 16, 2025, at her home. She was born April 28, 1939, in Ironton, OH. She is the daughter of the late Ebert Ross Newkirk and the late Gladys Elizabeth Harris Newkirk. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Billy Reeves; one sister, Sharon Ratcliff; a brother Joe Newkirk, three stepchildren, Tammy Ball, Jamie Reeves and Jeff Reeves. Nancy lived a full and meaningful life, guided by her deep love for God, her family and her unwavering faith. She had a rare gift for seeing the good in everyone, offering kindness, grace and understanding to all. She attended Raceland-Worthington schools, where she built many of the friendships and memories she carried with her throughout her life. She spent her early years as a devoted homemaker before working as a secretary for General Heating and Air. She then became a beloved nanny for Dr. Glenn Haeberle’s family, caring for their children with deep love and dedication. She was also a proud business owner of Nancy’s Porcelain Creations, where she shared her artistic talent with others. A true artist at heart, she poured her creativity into her handmade pins and dolls she lovingly crafted-each one a reflection of her imagination, patience, and joy for creating beauty from simple things, adding a touch of class and a little sparkle wherever she went. Family was her greatest joy and she loved them deeply. She found comfort in the simple pleasures of life- her home, time spent with loved ones, Chick-Fil-A, TJ Maxx and anything in her favorite shade of turquoise. She was known for her warmth, quiet strength, and peaceful spirit she carried with her. Her kindness, creativity and unwavering love will continue to live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her. Surviving Nancy are her two daughters, Cynthia (John) Oakes, Andrea (Brett) Rose; two sons Neal Reeves, Lee Reeves; thirteen grandchildren, Seth, Tyler, Jamie, Brandon, Bradley, Amanda, Shawna, Jesse, Jonah, Nicholas, Anthony, Lucas , Kayla and 11 beloved great grandchildren. 2 sisters, Betty Kearns, Marcella (Tim) Eckstein, her extended family, friends and church family at Wurtland Church of God. A funeral service for Nancy will be held Thursday, November 20, 2025, at 12:30pm at the Wurtland Church of God officiated by Pastor Chester Keithly and Tim French. Burial to follow at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Northeast. Friends may visit on Wednesday November 19, from 6:00pm until 8:00pm or Thursday from 11:30am until 12:30pm at the church.
