Brenda Kay Meenach

Brenda Kay Meenach, 74, of Greenup, KY, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, at her home. Mrs. Meenach was born January 1, 1952, in Greenup County. She is the daughter of the late Stanley Salyers Jr. and Norma Clara Cook Salyers. Along with her parents, she is also preceded in death by one son, Mark Wayne Meenach; one sister, Linda Thornton; two brothers, Lowell Salyers and Marvin Dale Salyers. Brenda loved her family with all her heart. She showed her love through how she lived life. She worked hard and took care of her home and family. She helped her husband, Billy on the farm and took care of her children and grandchildren. She also loved her great-grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with them whenever she could. Early in life she became a member of the Greenup County Homemakers Club where she enjoyed socializing and learning new skills. She was a big part of the PTA, once her children attended school. She adored being a cheerleader coach, a Bluebird, and Campfire leader. She was very active in school related activities that involved her children and community. She was a woman of faith and enjoyed attending church with her husband, Billy. She loved cooking, baking, and sewing. She also loved crochet and macrame. She would make baby quilts, costumes and unique crafts for friends and family. In recent years, her favorite hobby was riding on the Gator around the farm. Her life was full of love and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Mrs. Meenach is survived by her husband of fifty-seven years, Billy Joe Meenach; one daughter, Shelly Renee (Bradford) Gehringer; one son, Bryan Wayne Meenach; one sister, Sandy (Jerry) Bryant; four grandchildren, Micheal (Alicia) Meenach, Holly (Tod) Jones, Russell (Laura) Meenach, Joshua Meenach; seven great grandchildren, Wyatt Allen, Hayden Meenach, Kayleigh Meenach, Connor Meenach, Joshua Meenach, Bentley Meenach and Wrigley Jones. A funeral service for Brenda Kay Meenach will be held on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, at 1pm at Evans Funeral Home in Raceland with Minister Rob O’lynn officiating. Burial will be Friday at 1:00pm at Kiser McGinnis Cemetery. Friends may visit from 11am until time of the service on Tuesday at the funeral home. Arrangements entrusted to Evans Funeral Home.
